FULL-TIME RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Job Description:Work in a cognitive neuroscience lab integrating electroencephalography (EEG) and functional MRI (fMRI) to study the interface of attention and memory in healthy young and older adults. Simultaneous EEG/FMRI experiments will be conducted at the UCSF Neuroscience Imaging Center (NIC).
Job Responsibilities:Assume an integrated role in all aspects of the data collection and analysis. Data analysis is performed independently, and includes the use of established programs (e.g, SPM and Analyzer), as well as the development of new analytical approaches, mostly using Matlab.
Required Qualifications: BA/BS in psychology, neuroscience, bioengineering or related science; previous research experience in this field (particularly conducting fMRI and/or EEG experiments); working knowledge of MS Windows and Mac OS; computer programming skills, specifically the ability to design and write scripts in Matlab; good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work independently as well as with others; ability to handle fluctuating priorities and deadlines; interest in learning brain structure- function relationships.
